"Little Study in Blue I"
Small abstract artwork in pale shades of white and blue. This original artwork has a flowing, organic quality which evokes feelings of peace and tranquility. First I traced some soft shapes on the page in pencil, before filling them in with gentle brushstrokes of harmonious colour. Then I painted in the gaps between in white. The final stage was to encircle the shapes with loose swirls of charcoal. To me this last stage is key to what I wish to say - is the expression of my spirit finding form on the page, recognizing its human sense of being, free-flowing, alive.
